Dan Spilo, 48-year-old Hollywood agent, has been accused of sexual misconduct on the reality series Survivor. On November 13, during the 39th season of the series, Kellee Kim spoke out about the “inappropriate touching” incident with Spilo. The fellow contestant has expressed much discomfort around the talent agent. “It’s inappropriate touching,” she said. “I’m not an object.”

“This isn’t just one person. It’s a pattern. It takes five people to be like, ‘Man, the way I’m feeling about this is actually real. It’s not in my head. I’m not overreacting to it.’ He’s literally done these things to five different women in this game. That sucks. That totally, totally sucks,” she continued.

When Spilo was confronted by the show host Jeff Probst about Kim’s sexual misconduct allegations, he said, “I work in an industry in which the #MeToo movement was formed and allowed, thank God, to blossom and become powerful and strong. My personal feeling is if anyone ever felt for a second uncomfortable about anything I’ve ever done, I’m horrified about that and I’m terribly sorry.”

While Spilo remains on the show and currently has lawyers looking into the situation, Probst explained the importance of having conversations like this. “I am incredibly proud of Kellee for being willing to speak up,” he told EW. “She was very courageous in speaking her truth. This was an obviously important story. Dan was the central figure in the story, so this was the appropriate forum for the discussion.”
