As they hit stadiums in the U.S. and Canada, they will perform each others songs. Though they’ll have separate sets, they plan to “meld their bands to explore each other’s most celebrated hits” and sing together on some of them, according to the press release.

Sting pointed out during the announcement that he used a similar concept when he toured with Paul Simon roughly a year ago. He also previously toured with Gabriel as part of Amnesty International’s Human Rights Now tour. The former Police frontman believes that fans will appreciate the experimentation he and Gabriel will be putting on display this time around.

“I’m very happy that we’re taking the chance to experiment this way. I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am,” Sting said in a release.

Gabriel added, “What intrigues me is that you get a good bunch of musicians together and interesting things will happen.”

The Rock, Paper, Scissors tour kicks off on June 21 in Columbus, Ohio. The last tour stop will be on July 24 in Canada. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 25.
