Steve Jobs Met His Biological Father
Late Apple founder Steve Jobs, who was adopted, once met his biological father, Abdulfattah Jandali, purely by chance, the New York Times reports. On 60 Minutes Sunday night, Jobs' biographer Walter Isaacson shared an audio recording of Jobs describing the encounter, which took place at a restaurant managed by Jandali.
Jobs described the encounter coldly. “I shook his hand and he shook my hand and that’s all," he said.
Jobs, who had connected with his biological mother and sister, said he did not have any interest in trying to find his biological father, who had abandoned the family. “I learned [a] little bit about him and I didn’t like what I learned,” Jobs said in the recording.
Isaacson's book, Steve Jobs, goes on sale today.
