Steve Bannon, former White House strategist and host of the War Room podcast, has launched a scathing attack on billionaire Elon Musk, pledging to diminish his influence in the upcoming Trump administration.

“I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon told Italian daily Corriere della Sera, according to excerpts translated by Breitbart. “He will not have a blue pass to the White House… he will be like any other person.”

Bannon’s ire stems largely from Musk’s defense of H1-B visas, which allow skilled foreign workers into the U.S., a stance supported by President-elect Donald Trump.

“This thing of the H-1B visas, it’s about the entire immigration system being gamed by the tech overlords,” Bannon said, criticizing Musk and other tech leaders for exploiting the system. He also accused Musk of prioritizing wealth accumulation, saying, “[Musk] will do anything to make sure that any one of his companies is protected or he makes more money.”

The feud escalated as Bannon called out Musk’s South African origins, along with other Trump backers like Peter Thiel and David Sacks.

“Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on Earth, white South Africans, making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?” Bannon remarked. Thiel, who collaborated with Musk on PayPal, has been a prominent supporter of Trump allies, including Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.

Bannon’s criticisms extended beyond immigration to Musk’s business dealings and perceived mocking of the MAGA movement. He referenced a deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) that suggested Americans were unfit for jobs filled by H1-B workers, claiming Musk “went out of his way to mock our movement as racist and retards, and he lost.”

This marks a sharp turnaround from Bannon’s recent praise for Musk’s financial contributions to Trump’s campaign. “Musk just spent a quarter of a billion dollars to elect Trump,” Bannon told Bloomberg last week. However, he now accuses Musk of aligning his political involvement with personal financial gain, saying his “sole objective is to become a trillionaire.”

Musk has reportedly been staying at a $2000 per night cottage at Mar-A-Lago to stay close to Trump.
