FX’s hit drama Justified continued to unfold its fourth season with the episode “Where’s Waldo?”

The episode’s title comes from the search for Waldo Truth, who has been sneaking government aid, among other things. Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and Art Mullen (Nick Searcy) conduct the manhunt, and when they finally find him, Waldo actually isn’t Waldo at all, but a man named Harold (Dave Florek). The real Waldo died many years ago, and the Waldo they’re searching for is actually Drew Thompson. Confusing, right?

In more criminal news, Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) struggles to handle the issues of lowered drug sales, and ends up confronting a mysterious traveling church group that seems to be the source of the problem. This same group is also responsible for Ellen May’s (Abby Miller) attempts to leave the prostitution game and find God, which clearly doesn’t go over well with Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter).

Boyd has more problems as his plan to manipulate Wynn Duffy (Jere Burns) into making him a partner in the Dixie Mafia’s drug operations goes awry. Boyd was holding a dealer hostage, but Wynn shoots the dealer himself. So much for that.

Finally a mysterious figure flitted in and out of the episode, first as a rude bar patron, then as a bareknuckle boxer, and finally revealved be Raylan’s girlfriend’s husband. Yikes.

Justified returns next week with “Truth and Consequences” on FX at 10 p.m. EST. —Hal Sundt
