After trolling former President Donald Trump with his video for the song “Lavender” and his EP “Make America Crip Again,” Snoop Dogg claims to have “nothing but love and respect” for him these days.
Snoop Dogg has been a notable Trump troller in the past, with a history of poking fun at the former president. However, now he has displayed a different point of view when referring to Trump.
He has recently hinted several times that the problems they have had in past years have been resolved.
“Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me,” he said in an interview with The Sunday Times. “He has done only great things for me. I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”
One notable act of generosity that the rapper referred to is the pardon of his friend and founder of Death Row Records, Michael “Harry-O” Harris. Trump granted Harris and 73 other inmates presidential pardons in 2021 for their drug charges.
Death Row Records was the first label to sign Snoop Dogg, who went on to take over the company in 2022.
Concerning this pardon, the rapper said, “That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out. They did some great work while they was in there, and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did.”
After many instances of tension between the rapper and the former president, including a music video with violent depictions of a clown, meant to represent Trump, being murdered by Snoop Dogg, this comment seems to show a definite change of opinion.
