Saturday Night Live comedian and co-head writer Michael Che has received backlash after comments about Olympian Simone Biles were posted from his account.

Biles has received mostly positive feedback and support after withdrawing from the team final and the women’s all-around gymnastics final in order to focus on her mental health. She posted on her Instagram, thanking people from around the world for their messages of appreciation and support.

The Olympic Gold medalist said, “the outpouring love & support I’ve received has made me realize I’m more than my accomplishments and gymnastics which I never truly believed before. 🤍”

Che’s Instagram, though, showed a different kind of reaction. A now-deleted story read, “man I want to make fun of Simone Biles so bad.”

A later one said, “I got like 3 mins of simone biles jokes in my head. im going to the cellar tonight to say them into a microphone. as the dorky kids say, im choosing violence.”

The “Weekend Update” host’s account also posted a rating of a joke someone had sent him about Larry Nassar, the former USA gymnastics doctor who pled guilty to ten counts of sexual abuse of a minor, but is accused of abusing hundreds of more girls, including Biles, herself.

“Goddamn that’s rough, absolutely tasteless 9/10,” the post read.

Later, Che added another story, with the same font and background as before, saying, “maaannnn, i got hacked today. cant believe they got me. yall know i only do jokes about whites and cops. s’all good now, i changed my password and everything .. anyway yall hear about dababy tho.. ? Thats crazy .. iight. see yall at church. imma get there early.”

DaBaby has received widespread criticism for his comments about HIV/AIDS.

It is unclear whether or not Che’s account was actually hacked or not. However, the Internet swiftly reacted to the comedian’s comments.

Che’s Instagram has been completely wiped, save one picture of him on his birthday with the caption, “happy birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeeee.”
