Shahs of Sunset star Golnesa Gharachedaghi, known as GG, admitted during an Instagram video shared on Tuesday that she was taking a popular Hollywood weight loss drug and told her followers she was “not going to lie about it” unlike many other celebrities.

The TV personality, 41, has been taking weekly shots of a drug called, Semoglutide, which is commonly used to control high blood sugar in individuals with type 2 diabetes.

In 2021, the Food and Drug Administration approved the drug for use for “chronic weight management” in adults.

The star revealed in the clip that she had already lost 11 pounds in the span of four weeks. GG seems to be confused as to why so many people deny taking the shots. “Y’all can judge in the comments section below, but for those interested in trying this, you should hit up my doctor @tabasum and get started.” she wrote.

GG kicked off the video by expressing what led her to try the drug, saying she packed on weight last year from steroid injections and having a baby. She welcomed her son Elijah in April 2020 through a sperm donor.

In the clip, she continued to discuss her weight loss journey. “So, I did what all the people are doing and lying about it. I am on the weight loss shots, honey, okay?” she told her followers.

She stated that she had begun the weight loss drug on February 5 at 137 pounds and was currently down to 126 pounds as of February 26. GG also explained that she had “never been over 121 or 122 pounds… other than being pregnant.”

The TV personality proceeded to take 20 units from the small bottle of Semoglutide, also known as Ozempic, and administered the shot in the right side of her stomach.
