Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) debuted his mysterious new girlfriend at the third Republican presidential primary debate on Wednesday night.
Mindy Noce, with whom Scott has been in a relationship for nearly a year, joined him on stage in Miami for a photo. His supporters have been curious about the romance since May, when he mentioned that he was dating someone.
The famously single Scott’s vagueness about his personal life while on the campaign trail has left people suspicious about his personal life. He often said he was too busy to date and has been outspoken about his anti-LGBTQ views. The U.S. has not had an unmarried president in more than a century.
Noce is a Charleston-based interior designer and renovation consultant and a mom of three.
Scott is trailing badly in the polls after being viewed as a top-tier candidate before entering the race.
At the debate, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley made headlines for calling her fellow candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, “scum” after he criticized her daughter for using TikTok.
