Chrishell Stause, a 43-year-old actress and real estate agent who stars in the Netflix reality show Selling Sunset, revealed to fans in a post on Instagram that her silicone breast implants she got 15 years ago began to leak.
In a caption she posted alongside a video on Instagram, Stause explained that she had gotten a routine full body scan when she discovered that both of her breast implants were ruptured. Worried about potential health complications, she expressed relief when she connected with Dr. Josef Hadeed, a double board-certified plastic surgeon and head of the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Beverly Hills. Hadeed removed the faulty silicone and replaced the implants 15 years out of date.
“My first thought was fear, thinking about having to undergo surgery and if the rupture would lead to any complications…But [I was] very happy I found Dr. Josef Hadeed and had an amazing experience with him and his team. They were able to remove all of the silicone and replace my 15-year-old vintage implants,” Stause said.
Stause concluded her post by reminding her followers that plastic surgery is a personal choice and to monitor their health should they go through with it.
“I want to be fully open and transparent about my experience in the hopes that it could help anyone else going through this,” she added.
This reminder echoes similar sentiments surrounding her health when she received surgery to remove an ovarian cyst in 2023.
Selling Sunset, a reality television show written by Adam DiVello, is centered on the L.A. reality agency, the Oppenheim Group. The show’s eighth season premiered on Netflix on Sept. 5.
In 2023, Stause spoke to uInterview exclusively about how she keeps healthy.
“I get it. Everyone’s busy,” she said. “It’s hard, but it’s a balance. I feel like, you know, we really have to make an effort to put ourselves first and do these things everyone tells us.”
“Sometimes it’s just as simple as finding something you like doing, you know, because otherwise, it’s a drag. But if you can find something you like doing – that was the key for me – I really actually like Pilates, and before that, I would dread every single workout,” she added.
