Rapper and internet personality Freddy E was found dead from an apparent suicide at the age of 22. The cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy will be performed on Monday.

"Our family is saddened beyond words; our loss is great; this tragedy is enormous and unforseen," Freddy E's father, Frederick Douglass Buhl, posted on his Facebook page this past Saturday.

Born Frederick Eugene Buhl, Freddy E was also known for his Internet program, Jerk TV, which featured humorous and profane segments that highlighted a cautionary, moral message. He was allegedly signed to fellow rapper Tyga's label.

According to a series of tweets released before his death, the rapper was despondent over his relationship with female rapper Honey Cocaine, real name Sochitta Sal. "I'm about to delete my twitter in a second…This day couldn't get any worse… I'm sorry…..Smoked my first pack of cigarettes today… been a long time since I've gone through heart break. It's a cold unforgiving world if I do say," he posted.

Sal claims she is not responsible for his death. "To say I caused what happened is pure ignorance…You know nothing about our friendship…we loved each other…I said some foolish things cause I thought he was joking…this is crazy…RIP my angel," she tweeted.
