Australian actor Jacob Elordi is the subject of a police investigation after his alleged involvement in a fight outside a hotel in Sydney on Saturday.

Elordi was at the Clovelly Hotel when he got into a physical altercation with KIIS FM reporter Joshua Fox. The actor returned to Australia ahead of the AACTA Awards on February 10.

Elordi was reportedly approached by the Fox and became frustrated by his line of questioning. Fox was assaulted during the encounter, according to a NSW police spokesperson.

“Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” a statement said.

“Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries.

Elordi has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Saltburn. It is unclear whether he will still attend the awards ceremony on Saturday.

Last March, the actor received a restraining order against an alleged stalker, Robert Furo, who repeatedly showed up at his home with unsolicited gifts.
