Sacha Baron Cohen, dressed as the titular character in his new movie Grimsby, passed through the Berlin Tegel airport.
From Borat to Bruno, The Dictator, and now to Grimsby, Cohen likes to promote his movies by staying in character. When Cohen arrived in Berlin Tegel, he was outfitted in his Grimsby costume of a jersey, short jeans and sandals. He also had on Grimsby’s signature shaggy hairdo and unique facial hair. Not one to do something halfway, Cohen also had props on hand – fish and chips takeaway and a can of beer.
While making his way out of the airport, Cohen stopped to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
On the red carpet at the Grimsby world premiere in London earlier this week, Cohen had hit the red carpet in his character’s other outfit – underwear and a snug-fitting turtleneck. His wife Isla Fisher, who also stars in the film, was happy to feed him french fries as they posed for pictures.
“It was really fun,” Fisher said of acting opposite her husband for the first time on talk show Lorraine. “I learnt a lot from watching him improvise. There’s nobody better than he is at that. I don’t have to do any comedy in this movie — I’m just a straight man.’
Louis Letterier directed Grimsby from a screenplay by Cohen, Phil Johnston and Peter Baynham.
Grimsby hits theaters March 11.
