Co-creator of American Horror Story Ryan Murphy has announced that he plans to revisit two of the previous five seasons in a future season, creating a crossover between season one’s Murder House and season three’s Coven.
AHS: Murder House followed a family that recently moved to L.A. and took up residence in a haunted house, complete with ghosts and creepy neighbors. AHS: Coven followed a group of witches living in New Orleans. While not as scary as other seasons, Coven had a lot of fun being campy.
The current season six, Roanoke, is airing now, and the crossover would not be season seven. “We do know what we’re going to do,” Murphy said. “It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre.”
Fans are hopeful that the crossover will feature actors from the original seasons, such as Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott and Emma Roberts. There is speculation that Jessica Lange could return, who appeared in the first four seasons of the show, but then left. “I’ve [already] started going to actors from both of the seasons, quietly, saying, “I think in this window, if you could fit us in,” said Murphy. “So yeah, it’s fun. It’s weird.”
