Russell Simmons, a dedicated practitioner of Transcendental Meditation, was spotted meditating on the beach in St. Bart’s Tuesday.

Simmons was flanked by pals on the beach for his meditating session on the sands of Shell Beach. The hip-hop mogul sat crosslegged with his eyes closed in a red polo shirt and matching red swim shorts.

Simmons has stated in the past that his dedication to yoga isn’t tied to any religion. Jerry Seinfeld and Sting and his wife Trudie Styler are also TM practitioners.

For the last several days, Simmons has been on his annual holiday vacation to St. Bart’s, where he hosted his 16th Annual Holiday Party at the Eden Rock Hotel on Dec. 29.

Simmons posted a picture of his daughter Ming Lee with British pop singer Rita Ora at the party on Instagram. “Last night my 16 annual. Holiday party ming Lee got to hang with her favorite superstar,” he captioned the snap. “Dad’s cool cause he got @ritaora at his party.”
