Amid ongoing health concerns surrounding King Charles and Kate Middleton, Prince William‘s spokesperson responded to the rumors.

Prince William’s spokesperson told reporters, “His focus is on work and not on social media.”

The discussion follows an incident where Middleton’s name appeared on the official U.K. Army website as the lead for the annual review of soldiers at the Horse Guards Parade in London on June 8. This announcement came after her abdominal surgery in January.

However, Kensington Palace stated that the army had not consulted them about Middleton’s involvement. Details about Middleton’s surgery remain private, with the palace only confirming its success and projecting a recovery period of 10 to 14 days in the hospital, followed by a return home. The statement also indicated that Middleton would likely refrain from public duties until after Easter emphasizing her desire for privacy and maintaining normality for her children.

Last week, when William had to cancel his attendance at his godfather’s memorial for personal reasons, the palace assured the public that Middleton was still doing well. However, as conspiracy theories circulated about her whereabouts, Kensington Palace released a statement to reiterate that significant updates would be provided according to the January guidelines.

While William ignored a reporter’s question about Middleton’s condition, Middleton herself was spotted for the first time post-surgery, being driven near Windsor Castle by her mother, Carole Middleton.

As Middleton continues her recovery, King Charles is undergoing cancer treatment. Queen Camilla reportedly took a vacation after she fulfilled additional royal engagements on his behalf.

The secrecy surrounding Charles’ health has fueled speculation about the severity of his illness. Despite acknowledging his cancer diagnosis, the lack of specific details has led to ongoing speculation, which does not benefit the monarchy’s image.

As the head of state, Charles’ health condition carries constitutional implications. Although Prince Harry reportedly offered to help, Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold, stated that the family would manage without him.
