Roslyn Singleton, a Navy veteran who went viral in 2020 when her husband crooned for her before cancer surgery, has died after a 10-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Roz and her husband Ray Singleton later appeared on America’s Got Talent and where Ray gave an emotional performance of “I Am Yours” by Andy Grammar directed to her. He received a “yes” in the audition but was later eliminated before the Quarterfinals.

“Our wife earned her wings yesterday while peacefully sleeping at home where she wanted to be,” Ray wrote on Instagram. “This road ahead is going to be incredibly long & difficult! She taught us all something…”

Roslyn also appeared on The Ellen Show soon after she went viral in 2020 to share her experiences. “2013 was my first surgery and first bout with brain cancer,” she said. She was lucky enough to have a successful surgery and several years with no symptoms, but it then returned. “I’m not going to lie and say brain cancer is a breeze, but positive prayer, positive people make it better,” she said.
