‘Roseanne’ Drops In Ratings, Loses To ‘NCIS’ In Total Viewers This Week
Roseanne Barr‘s namesake television program suffered a hit in viewership this week, losing the top spot to CBS’s NCIS in terms of total viewership by 1.8 million.
ROSEANNE VIEWERSHIP DIPS
Roseanne‘s viewership started incredibly strong, setting a record of 18.2 million viewers on the season’s premiere night. Last night, however, ABC’s well-known comedy scored “10.3 million viewers and a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49, with respective spills of 23 and 26 percent,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Regardless, Roseanne will likely retain its crown of being 2018’s top broadcasted series, with its closest rival in this field being NBC’s This Is Us, and it didn’t do poorly last night; between adults aged 18 to 49, Roseanne was still Tuesday’s most viewed program, beating ABC’s own The Middle. Regardless, its total viewership has declined, whereas NCIS scored 2.1 million viewers. As Tuesday’s NCIS episode was the first in a cast-changing two-parter, it’s plausible that it will beat the ABC sitcom again next week.
