Rob McElhenney, ‘Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ Star, Diagnosed With ‘Neurodevelopmental Disorders & Learning Disabilities’

Rob McElhenney, 46, recently revealed that he was diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders and learning disabilities.

The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor took to Twitter to share his diagnosis and wrote, “It’s not something I would normally talk about publicly but I figured there are others who struggle with similar things and I wanted to remind you that you’re not alone.”

“You’re not stupid,” he continued. “You’re not ‘bad.’ It might feel that way sometimes. But it’s not true. :)”

According to the Learning Disabilities Association of America, over 60% of adults have undetected or untreated learning disabilities.

No other details were shared by the actor. Instead, he assured that the diagnosis would be discussed more thoroughly on a new episode of The Always Sunny Podcast, hosted by McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. McElhenney hinted that the upcoming episode will be dropping in two weeks.

McElhenney’s tweet garnered positive and appreciative comments.

Aside from starring in Always Sunny, McElhenney also stars in Welcome to Wrexham, a sports documentary that follows a soccer club owned by McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, called Wrexham A.F.C. Both shows are available on Hulu.
