Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teased a streaking scene in this week’s episode.

“Some things were different back then… Others, not so much… This Wednesday’s #Riverdale is an unmissable blast from the past. Teen FP and Teen Fred streaking, because why not?,” he tweeted on Monday.

The episode will be a glimpse of the Riverdale parent’s junior year. It’s also apparently been in the works for a while now. However, Aguirre-Sacasa said the moment was finally right because of how essential the flashback is to season three’s mystery.

He also added that it’s similar to the musical episode in season two. “We didn’t do it just for the sake of doing it,” he said. “It actually told a story that was very critical to the ongoing storyline and really dimensionalized their relationship. It’s a fun idea, but we had to do it when it made sense and when it added to the season.”

Fan’s will see the show’s stars transform into young versions of their adult counterparts. Expect Cole Sprouse to channel Skeet UlrichLili Reinhart to copy Madchen Amick, and KJ Apa to look like Luke Perry.

The episode’s also supposed to be filled with Easter eggs, many of them calling back to teen movies of the past.

Aguirre-Sacasa also spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the episode. “We wanted to kind of have them do in the past more traditional, innocent, stupid high school things so we came up with the idea of streaking,” he explained.

He also joked, “They are streaking in front of a glass cabinet. It used to be that you could catch a certain reflection in that glass cabinet. I believe that it has been brushed out in editing, but eagle eyes should keep an eye out for it.”

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
