Reese Witherspoon has announced she will be producing a country music competition for Apple TV+. The show, My Kind of Country, is Apple TV+ first competition series and will focus on expanding the musical barriers in the country music world by breaking down past norms.
In an Instagram post shared on Monday, Witherspoon states, “Well, it’s not looking like I’ll ever fulfill my childhood dream of becoming Dolly Parton but this might just be the next best thing!” The caption goes on to talk about the show, who she is working with, and what viewers can expect to see.
Witherspoon will be working with Hello Sunshine and Done + Dusted to produce the series, which have all worked with top artists in the country music world and outside.
This will be the third show Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine will be producing for Apple. The other two shows are dramas, The Morning Show and Truth Be Told.
