Jax Taylor, the star of the reality series The Valley, is set to exit an inpatient treatment facility later this week after a 30-day stay.

“Jax has spent the last 30 days in treatment and will be heading back home later this week,” the representative said in a statement. “It’s been an emotional month for him, and he’s most looking forward to spending time with his son.”

The 45-year-old reality personality checked into the treatment center in late July, his representative had announced at the time.

Taylor, who shares 3-year-old son Cruz Michael Cauchi with his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, has been open about his mental health struggles, especially in recent months on his podcast.

“Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast,” his representative previously stated when Taylor first entered treatment. “He has made the decision to seek inpatient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”

Taylor’s return to his home will also mark his return to filming for the second season of The Valley, which began production earlier this summer. Taylor plans to discuss his treatment experience when he is comfortable, and audiences can expect an emotional new season.

Taylor’s treatment stay comes amid his separation from Cartwright, which the former couple announced in February after four years of marriage. In announcing the news on their joint podcast, Cartwright said she “made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of [her] mental health.”

The former couple first met nearly a decade ago in 2015, and their relationship has been documented on Vanderpump Rules, their spinoff Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky and most recently The Valley. They tied the knot in June 2019 and welcomed their son in April 2022.

In 2020, Lance Bass announced that he had ended a partnership with Taylor in a drink mix company.
