News broke this week that a Real Housewives spinoff is being developed at Peacock. NBC’s streaming service previously teased that this idea might be in the works.
The series will probably feature women from the other Real Housewives casts. The premise of the show will bring the women together under one roof on some sort of trip.
“It’s just them filming a fun show and getting the ladies together from different franchises,” a source told Us Weekly. “Due to COVID-19, some Housewives favorites couldn’t be a part of it but if all goes well, they could potentially be in the future.”
Cast members were contacted in 2019 and 2020 to gage interest, but no casting announcements have been made at this time.
The news of this spinoff comes a week after Bravo announced they were bringing back Real Housewives of Miami, which originally ran from 2011 to 2013 before getting canceled.
The original show, Real Housewives of Orange County first aired in 2006. Since then, the show has had iterations in New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, D.C., Beverly Hills, Miami, Potomac, Dallas and most recently, Salt Lake City.
