Emma Watson’s manager, Jason Weinberg, put an end to rumors that she was finished with acting.
The rumors started after The Daily Mail posted an article suggesting that the actress being “dormant” meant she was finished with acting. The article also insinuated that Watson was giving up acting to spend more time with her boyfriend, Leo Robinton.
Weinberg said those assumptions are not the case.
“Emma’s social media accounts are dormant but her career isn’t,” he told Entertainment Weekly in a statement.
Watson’s last acting role was as Meg March in the 2019 film, Little Women. Watson joined the board of directors at Gucci owner Kering as chair of the sustainability committee in 2020. Watson told Vogue in June 2020 that she was looking forward to taking on a new role in activism.
“If people notice a new quietness from me, it does not mean I am no longer there or do not care! I will just be doing my work in a different way,” she said.
