Ray J was charged with 10 crimes on Monday by the L.A. County D.A. for an incident at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel this past May.

The D.A. charged Ray J with misdemeanor sexual battery, four counts of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery and two counts of vandalism, according to TMZ.

Police officers have disagreed with the D.A.’s decision to charge the R&B singer and former boyfriend of Kim Kardashian with sexual battery because they believe the incident was accidental.

Allegedly, Ray J had been drinking at the bar at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel when he brushed up against a woman during his partying antics. Upon getting thrown out of the bar, Ray J reportedly lost his temper and was subsequently arrested. While in the back of the cop car, he allegedly kicked out one of the windows and spit on a cop.

Ray J took to Instagram Monday with a post that seemed to address his recent run-in with the law, writing, "Let the possibilities inspire you more than the obstacles discourage you. #FaceYourFear #CrushObstacles #HitHomerun #RJ #TKO."
