Rapper PNB Rock Killed In L.A. Robbery At 30
PNB Rock, a rising rapper from Philadelphia known for singles like “Selfish,” was shot and killed during a robbery at a chain restaurant in south Los Angeles.
Police say that Rock was shot after an argument broke out at a Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles restaurant when an armed robber demanded the rapper’s jewelry. He was eating there with his girlfriend, and police suspect that the robber found him because of an Instagram post she shared at the restaurant.

The robber eventually shot Rock, took some of his property, and fled in a waiting vehicle outside of the store. Rock was transported to a hospital, and pronounced dead Monday around 2 p.m.
Fans circulated a clip of Rock talking about robberies in Los Angeles just about a week ago. He told journalist DJ Akademiks that some criminals in L.A. are “bold” and also said “I never got robbed. Never in my life.”
PNB Rock had just released the mixtape SoundCloud Daze as well as a new single “Luv Me Again” early this month. He also collaborated with the late rapper Pop Smoke in January 2020, who would later be shot and killed the next months potentially due to social media posts revealing his location.
