Prince Harry believes he’s found the one in longtime girlfriend Cressida Bonas and is thinking about proposing marriage in the near future, according to friends of the couple.
Harry, 29, has long been known as the more roguish of the sons born to Prince Charles and the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Yet, just months after his elder brother Prince William welcomed his firstborn son Prince George with wife Kate Middleton, Prince Harry might be looking to settle down himself.
“Cressie is going to marry Harry,” one of Bonas’ friends told The Telegraph. “Harry never stops talking about marriage and children, and she has now got used to the idea. The wedding is likely to take place next year.”
Harry and Bonas, 24, were introduced in May 2012 by his cousin Princess Eugenie. Since then, Harry has only had eyes for her and had kept in constant contact with her while he spent a four-month posting in Afghanistan. Despite Bonas’ initial trepidation regarding marriage at her relatively young age – and into the royal family no less – she’s thought to be turning around.
Recently, the pair has been spotted out on two public dates, reported E! News. Harry brought Bonas to a James Blunt concert in London, and then to a showing of The Book of Mormon on the following day. Is Bonas, a socialite and dancer whose family traces their history back to Edward VII, the woman Harry wants to raise children with?
"I've longed for kids since I was very, very young,” Harry told Katie Couric last year. “I'm just waiting to find the right person, someone who's willing to take on the job."
