Post Malone Performs Surprise Concert On Time Square’s TSX Stage
Post Malone surprised New Yorkers Tuesday afternoon as he made an unannounced visit to Times Square.
Standing in front of an 18,000-square-foot billboard, Malone belted out some of his most popular songs like “Sunflower” and “Circles” and even sang unreleased music as another surprise for his fans, becoming the very first performer on the newly built TSX stage.
After the large crowd counted down to the rapper’s pop-up concert, he thanked them all for being there and asked them how they felt before introducing himself by his birth name.
“My name is Austin Richard Post and I hope everybody is having a beautiful day,” he said. “I’m so happy the rain cleared up so we could hang out, ladies and gentlemen, and I wanted to say [to] everybody who came to hang out, I am so, so grateful and so very honored.”
He then pointed to the stage and said, “To be kicking this off — this is like the coolest venue in the f—ing universe.”
“I’m super nervous and I’m super happy you guys came out, and I love you guys more than life,” he added.
In preparation for the release of his upcoming album Austin, the 28-year-old rapper sang “Enough is Enough,” one of the tracks included in the album, during the surprise concert.
The album is set to release on July 28.
