Dedrick Devonshay Williams of Pompano Beach was arrested following a traffic stop, according to a statement released by Broward County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, 20, who went by the stage name pronounced “Ex Ex Ex ten-ta-see-YAWN,” had been known during his short music career for several arrests and scandals. He was killed in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Williams was driving a 2004 Honda alone without a license at the time of his arrest, according to a report. He has been charged with first-degree murder without premeditation, a probation violation and for not having a valid driver’s license.

A judge reportedly ordered Williams — who is also facing a probation violation charge related to his involvement in a 2014 grand theft auto case — to be held without bond.

Court documents also revealed that Williams has previously been charged for several offenses including grand theft auto, cocaine and firearm possession, and domestic violence. However, some of these charges were ultimately dropped and he did not serve time in prison for them.

XXXTentacion had a top-selling album in March and had a top-10 hit called “Sad!” Among the charges he had faced were home invasion, assault and witness tampering.
