Just two years after hitting headlines by purchasing a 20,000-square foot waterfront Miami mansion for $24 million, which he then poured money into renovating, New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez, 37, affectionately known as A-Rod, who was dating Cameron Diaz, 39, at the time of the lofty purchase, is selling the property for $38 million.

A-Rod's mansion sits on the Florida Intracoastal and comes complete with, ahem: nine bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a gym, steam room, movie theater, rooftop deck, heated infinity pool, hot tub, full-size commercial elevator, full home generator, master suite with atrium and his / hers bathrooms, a four-car garage, staff quarters, guest house, complete security system, panoramic view of the Miami skyline and a 3,000 square-foot sports room with a batting cage.

Rodriguez spends most of his time in his $6 million New York City condo. It is not clear if he ever actually lived in his Miami home, reports the New York Daily News. And, according to Miami real estate agents, he may not have trouble finding a buyer for his pricey investment. "The high-end Miami market is out of control right now," said Jorge Alonso, an associate broker at Douglas Elliman in Florida. "The Russians and Brazilians are buying like crazy. It's like everyone is racing to buy a trophy house."

Perhaps A-Rod will make some Russian or Brazilian investor very happy.
