Petition Circulating To Get Fetty Wap To Perform At Nancy Reagan’s Funeral
FETTY WAP WANTED TO RAP AT NANCY REAGAN’S FUNERAL
After her passing, the world commemorates Reagan as one of the most influential First Lady the country has ever seen.
She can also be known among some in the rap community as the country’s first “Trap Queen.”
The First Lady stood by her husband’s side as drugs flooded the streets during the crack epidemic of the 80s. She also was behind the nationwide campaign, “Say No To Drugs” that urged children to stay away from narcotics. The movement encouraged stricter drug laws which caused a massive number of arrests all over the country.
The petition states: “She was married to the money and introduced America to the stove…While her husband, Ronald Reagan, was linking up with Papi to flood the streets with narcotics, Nancy was on TV telling kids to ‘Say No To Drugs.’ Her infamous ‘anti-drug’ phrase encouraged strict laws on drug possession that led to a school-to-prison pipeline we’re still dealing with now. Blacks and Latinos went to jail in droves for possessing drugs her husband gave them. It was an incredible sleight of hand that would make any wannabe Trap Queen hide in shame for her inability to be as diabolical as Nancy.”
