Peter Gilroy is cast in Nacho Punch’s viral video sketch, which parodies every inspirational video that is made on YouTube.

Peter Gilroy In ‘Every Inspirational Video Ever’

Nacho Punch released a new comedy sketch on YouTube, starring the Zombeavers (2014) actor Gilroy, went viral this week. In the video, Gilroy plays the role of the “studious and wise philosophical thinker” to deliver viewers an inspirational message.

However, the message is more of a satire on the concept of an “inspirational video” itself. Gilroy begins the sketch with this hilarious statistic, “Did you know that the average person spends 1 year of his life watching inspirational YouTube videos without actually making a difference?”

The sketch gets funnier as Gilroy goes on to say something that many people do realize while watching an inspirational video. With hand gestures and a poetic speech intonation, Gilroy reveals, “A person would believe what I’m saying because I’m talking in a cadence that sounds thought out and factual, but in the actual, it has no meaning.”

Gilroy goes on to mention a number of serious topics like technology, media, police brutality while rhyming words that don’t make sense. Perhaps the funniest moment in the sketch is when Gilroy holds up a book and says, “Books… remember these? They look familiar but I’m not quite sure. There’s no on button. It’s not food but… food for thought.” Then he makes his point by ripping out a page and shoving it into his mouth.

Gilroy speaks the truth, so check out the hilarious sketch for yourself.
