After posting an Instagram tribute for her father on his 65th birthday, Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, responded to internet trolls who criticized her unshaved armpits.
The 25-year-old singer shared some memories of her late father while wearing a sleeveless dress and pulling her hair up above her head, revealing her underarm hair.
Instagram users immediately took to the comments section, with some accusing Jackson of posting the tribute simply to prove that she does not shave her armpits.
Jackson responded to these accusations.
“I wasn’t tying my hair up to show off my armpit hair,” she tweeted. “I’ve not shaved it for years and forget it’s there all the time. Get over yourselves.”
She then joked that she was pulling her hair back to “show [her] glass-cutting jawline.”
The post prompted fans to jump to Jackson’s defense, with many praising her for remaining confident in her appearance and offering sweet sentiments about her father.
