Pamela Anderson Gives Lecture About Porn At Oxford University

Pamela Anderson, former Baywatch actress gave a lecture at Oxford University warning against the harmful attitudes associated with porn on Monday.

The 49-year-old said that porn is usually “demeaning and hurtful,” and often shows violence against women.

“I’m not a prude and there lays the frustration,” said Anderson. “Great sex is not porn and when you’re treated like a porn star it’s not fun. It is not fine to be slapped, called a whore and spat on – it’s sick, it’s hurtful, it’s demeaning and it’s terrible, terrible sex.”

She clarified that it is not the images that are what worries her, as she has had two sex tapes of her own leaked in the past. “I’m romantic. I am afraid that the world might forget how to make love,” she added, “I’m worried about the violence against women.”

Of course the recent Trump Tapes came up in the question period, and Anderson was asked what she thought about the presidential candidate’s comments that he could “grab women by the p—y.”

“It’s terrible and I’ve heard other men speak that way, even about me. It cannot be swept under the rug because how we deal with it – how he is… it’s not okay,” she stated. “So I was completely offended, like everybody else, and I don’t like the way he said it was just locker room behavior, because I don’t believe that’s true of the men who do speak that way. It’s got to stop, you’ve got to have respect for women, behind closed doors, around women and around men.”

Anderson is also a vegan and an animal rights activist. She will make an appearance in the upcoming Baywatch movie reboot, more than 20 years after she starred in the original TV show.
