Former One Direction star Liam Payne has died at age 31. Police in Buenos Aires, Argentina, say the singer fell to his death from a hotel balcony on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses report that Payne had been acting erratically and had to be escorted back to his room after smashing his laptop in the lobby.
Payne was in Argentina with girlfriend Kate Cassidy, to see his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan‘s show in the country.
Producer Simon Cowell assembled the boy band One Direction on a talent show in the U.K., and they quickly shot to fame.
Last year, Payne had his driver’s license revoked for speeding in London.
Payne had a son with singer Cheryl, Bear Grey, 7.
