Omarosa Says U.S. Is “Going To Not Be Ok” Under Donald Trump
Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, simply known as Omarosa, said that she fears for the United States with Donald Trump as president.
OMAROSA WARNS THAT U.S. WON’T BE “OK” UNDER TRUMP
As a member of the latest class of participants in Celebrity Big Brother, Omarosa was shown in a clip speaking about the political climate in the country. When personality Ross Matthews asked her if she was concerned by Trump’s leadership, she responded, “I’d like to say it’s not my problem, but I can’t say that because it’s bad.”
When asked if the U.S. would be “ok” moving forward, she said, “no, it’s going to not be ok.”
Omarosa resigned from her post at the White House in December amid rumors that she had been fired by chief of staff Gen. John Kelly. Prior to that, she had been a reality star from Trump’s The Apprentice.
She admitted that the president’s social media posts were concerning as well. “I was haunted by tweets every single day,” Omarosa said. “Like what is he going to tweet next?” While in White House, she says she tried to combat Trump’s frequent Twitter use, but was not supported by other staffers. “Don’t give her access, don’t let her talk to him,'” Omarosa said that others in the White House would say.
Deputy press secretary Raj Shah said on Thursday that the White House is not taking Omarosa seriously. “Omarosa was fired three times on The Apprentice, and this was the fourth time we let her go,” he said. “She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now.”
When Omarosa entered the Big Brother house last week, she shared that the backstabbing nature of the show was similar to what she felt at the White House. “There’s a lot of people that want to stab me in the back, kind of similar to the White House,” she said. “The one thing that I learned from politics is you have to watch your back, and sometimes you have to watch your front, too.”
