Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo, 21, sparked online debates after providing free Plan B at her concerts.

One concertgoer shared an image to X of the Julie morning-after pills she received at the concert.

“Free planb at @oliviarodrigo in St. Louis tonight. Thank you @MOAbortionfund.”

A spokesperson for Julie said, “Replacing the stigma and shame often associated with emergency contraception with access, exploration, and education is core to who we are, and we’re thankful for artists like Olivia Rodrigo.”

The Missouri Abortion Fund set up a table at Rodrigo’s concert in St. Louis. There, they provided free morning-after pills and condoms to those in need. Abortion resources such as phone numbers to clinics were also provided.

Fans responded to the post with their support for Rodrigo.

“I stand with Olivia. Not everyone wants to be a mother and can’t provide a proper lifestyle for their child I swear to god,” one user said.

Others criticized Rodrigo and felt like she was promoting teen sex since her fanbase is mainly young teenagers. Rodrigo has now said she is no longer providing free contraceptives at her concerts, stating the presence of children at concerts as the reason.

Rodrigo is still in support of abortion access. Her Fund 4 Good initiative will raise money to promote abortion access and education. A portion of the profits from her GUTS tour will also go to the Missouri Abortion Fund.
