Olivia Culpo & 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey Engaged After Four Years Of Dating

Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and NFL running back Christian McCaffrey took to social media to announce their engagement on Friday.

The pair, who have been dating for four years, shared the good news with their Instagram followers on Friday, revealing that Culpo said yes to McCaffrey’s proposal during a getaway at the Amangiri resort in Utah.

The couple shared five black-and-white photos of the emotional moment, which according to the caption occurred earlier this month. The photos show the 30-year-old reality star accepting the 26-year-old NFL star’s proposal, who is pictured down on one knee as he presents her with the large bespoke engagement ring. The Instagram post has received more than 800,000 likes and 11,000 comments from friends and followers.

Celebrities like Nicole Peltz Beckham, Demi Lovato, Eiza González and many more took to the comments section to congratulate the newly engaged couple, showering them with hearts and love.

Fellow model Gigi Hadid commented under the post with a “YESSSSSSSS❣️❣️❣️❣️.”

McCaffrey’s fellow NFL players, like Trey Lance and Fred Warner, were also quick to congratulate the couple, who even received a comment from the 49ers’ official Instagram account.

In a touching anniversary post from last year, Culpo revealed that the couple began dating in 2019 after they were set up by her best friends. Having had negative experiences with dating athletes in the past, Culpo claimed to have been hesitant at first but that she was glad to have given athletes a second chance.

“Three years ago I was not looking for a relationship. When my best friends Kristen & Tyler called me and asked if I would be open to meeting their friend Christian I was apprehensive. I was worried it would be the same old story all over again and that all guys were the same. While my expectations were low, I knew I couldn’t close myself off and make decisions based on fear,” Culpo wrote in the June 2022 anniversary post. “I love this photo (the 2nd pic) that Kristen snapped when he wasn’t looking, waiting to meet me for the first time, so sweet, vulnerable and humble (and with the flowers, I can’t 🥹) I’m so grateful for the voice inside me that told me to give love another chance.
