Nicolas Cage’s Son, Weston, Arrested For Assaulting His Mother With A Deadly Weapon

Weston Coppola Cage, the 33-year-old son of actor Nicolas Cage, was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Cage was taken into custody at 7:57 a.m. on a warrant stemming from an incident earlier this year. He was released on $150,000 bond less than two hours later, at 9:50 a.m., police records show.

While authorities did not confirm a direct link, the arrest appears to be connected to an altercation on April 28 between Cage and his mother, Christina Fulton, at her Los Angeles home. That incident reportedly began as a verbal dispute before turning physical. Emergency services were called to evaluate Fulton, but she declined hospital treatment. Cage had left the scene before police arrived.

Fulton was attempting to comfort her son, who was experiencing emotional difficulties. Fulton has since denied any argument took place and requested privacy.

This isn’t Cage’s first brush with the law. In 2017, he was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run after striking multiple parked cars, signs and mailboxes before crashing into a tree. He was hospitalized and later charged, with bail set at $30,000.

Cage also faced domestic violence charges in 2011 following a dispute with his ex-wife, Nikki Williams.

The incident has brought attention to ongoing family tensions. Fulton has accused Cage’s former wife, Danielle, of manipulating him into filing a restraining order against her in 2020. This action has reportedly prevented both Fulton and Nicolas Cage from meeting their twin granddaughters, who will turn four this month.

“It is devastating not to see these kids,” Fulton stated in a court filling. “Nicolas and I haven’t been able to meet our two beautiful little granddaughters at all since they were born. We’re in a quiet, horrible nightmare.”

Weston Cage also has two older sons, Lucian, 9, and Sorin, 7, from his marriage to Danielle, which ended in 2016.
