Nick Jonas Spills Album Details Over Twitter, Lead Single With Tove Lo

Nick Jonas took to Twitter last night to reveal all the major details about his upcoming project. Jonas revealed more than just the album’s name (Last Year Was Complicated) or when it is set to be released (June 10), he also delivered the cover, tracklist, and more. The most interesting part of all this is that it was not planned to be announced until Friday, and therefore, it seems, all of this was spun out of Jonas’ emotions.

The revealed lead single’s expected release was Friday as well but it seemed Jonas could not wait to share it with his fans. It is a song called “Close” with pop singer Tove Lo. Tove Lo is the label-mate of Jonas and the singer of the hit Talking Body. Jonas also explained how, although he had been working on music for a long time, when he and his girlfriend of two years, Olivia Culpo, split, the direction of his album changed, and this particular song was about the struggle of opening up.

Fans are speculating that this is either about his relationship with his ex who he parted with June 2015 due to distance reasons or his rumored romance with Kate Hudson which has been on headlines for months. Jonas has also been speculated to be connected to Lily Collins and Kendall Jenner. The tension-filled video for the song dropped this morning, with Tove Lo and Jonas having their clothes ripped off of their bodies.
