Nick Carter Arrested
Carter, 35, was arrested outside the Hog’s Breath Saloon in Key West, Fla., with his friend, bartender Michael Rae Papayans, reported ABC. Carter and Papayan allegedly arrived at the establishment already intoxicated and were refused service by a bartender.
When the boyband singer and his pal became enraged, they were asked to leave. Upon exiting the bar, they got into a confrontation with bouncers in which Carter allegedly grabbed a bouncer by the throat. Papayans is said to have head-butted another employee.
Papayans claimed to responding officers that the bouncers, “tackled me like they were f–king Navy SEALS or something,” in a video obtained by TMZ. “They thought we were too drunk, which I relatively understand…. Nick said something like, ‘That sucks man we supposed to trying to meet some friends here. Then someone grabbed him and threw him to the floor.”
Papayans goes on to state that that’s what led him to react aggressively. According to him, after the fight started, he repeatedly said, “I’m good,” to stop the fight, but the bouncers continued to beat on both him and Carter.
Key West Police arrested both Carter and Papayans at the scene. They were then were held at the Monroe County jail and charged with misdemeanor battery after police viewed surveillance footage of the brawl.
