Jonathan Majors’ Role As Kang The Conqueror May Be Replaced Or Given To Another Actor By Marvel

There has been discussion among the executives at Marvel Studios about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This company has struggled at the box office and with production problems with The Marvels.

The studio’s visual effects artists have been unable to keep up with the studio’s large number of productions.

There has particularly been discussion about what should be done with Jonathan Majors after he was charged with assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, on March 25.

Majors played the Marvel Comics villain, Kang the Conqueror, in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

He also appeared as the character in the season two finale of Loki. The episode will also present him as the titular main antagonist of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, coming to theaters on May 1, 2026.

Back in September, many of the studio’s creative minds, as well as Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, came together in Palm Springs, California, for the company’s yearly retreat.

Majors was set to be a central antagonist in the fifth phase of the franchise.

Despite Major’s defense, Marvel is aware that the Creed III star harmed his reputation and might lose the case.

The studio is now reconsidering centering the next phase of its connected sequels, spinoffs and series around Kang.

The crew discussed alternative plans such as switching out Kang with another Marvel Comics villain, Doctor Doom, also known as Victor Von Doom, as the main antagonist.

This villain made his first appearance in The Fantastic Four comic books. He has been portrayed by Julian McMahon in the 2005 film, Fantastic Four, and its sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer while being portrayed by Toby Kebbell in the 2015 remake also titled Fantastic Four.

Recasting Majors altogether was another suggestion. Feige already had experience recasting actors as he had replaced Terence Howard, who portrayed Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes in Iron Man, with Don Cheadle in Iron Man 2.
