A year after his death on November 5, 2022, Melanie Martin, the former fiancée of late singer and rapper, Aaron Carter, filed a lawsuit on behalf of their son, Prince Carter, against the doctors and pharmacies who prescribed and provided him addictive medications. The late singer’s fiancée blamed them for his untimely death.

Martin’s lawsuit claimed that Aaron’s doctors had prescribed him three drugs – hydrocodone, oxycodone and alprazolam – without any medical justification.

The lawsuit asserts that the doctors and pharmacies knew about the singer’s mental health and psychiatric problems.

It charges that these medical professionals prescribed him inconsistent quantities of his medication that were a direct contribution to his death.

On October 27, Angel Carter, Aaron’s twin sister, posted an image of the golden plaque commemorating her brother on Instagram. The plaque showed when he was born and when he died. It also read “Beloved Brother, Son, Friend & Father of Prince Carter.”

In the caption, she stated, “Aaron’s portrait was placed this morning at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. He adored his fans, and I know how much this would mean to him now having a final resting place where we could all celebrate his life. I invite you to visit, share your memories, and never forget who Aaron was deep down.”
