The onetime child star was found dead Saturday at his house in Lancaster, California.

Carter was found drowned in his bathtub after medical personnel responded to a 911 call.

A Los Angeles sheriff’s spokesperson said police responded to Carter’s residence at 10:58 a.m. PT and found a deceased person.

Carter started performing as child, even opening for the Backstreet Boys, brother Nick’s band, on a 1997 tour.

He opened for other pop stars including Britney Spears.

He starred in girlfriend Hilary Duff show, Lizzie McGuire, playing himself and becoming Lizzie’s first kiss.

In July 2017, Carter was arrested on DUI and marijuana charges in Georgia while in a car with his girlfriend, Madison Parker.

In 2019, he was hospitalized with an unknown ailment.
