The 2018 SAG Award nominations were announced today, and there were more than just a few snubs.

2018 SAG AWARD NOMINEES

SAF-AFTRA president Gabrielle Carter introduced Olivia Munn and Niecy Nash at an event Wednesday where the actresses announced the nominees. They also shared that the 24th Annual SAG Awards will be hosted by Kristen Bell, and will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 8 pm.

While Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobby Brown and Call Me By Your Name‘s breakout star Timothée Chalamet were recognized for their work, Chalamet’s co-star Armie Hammer as well as The Post‘s Meryl Streep were left off the ballot. Historically, the SAG Awards predict the future Academy Award nominees.

Though the Golden Globes failed to nominate The Big Sick, the film accepted two nominations, for best outstanding performance by a cast and for best supporting female role. “We are so lucky to have been graced with the enormous talents of every single member of our cast,” said the film’s writing team of couple Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon. “They each put a piece of themselves into our story and we are thrilled at being recognized.”
