Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s new trailer is doubly exciting: it also boasts a cameo appearance by Captain America (Chris Evans).

Captain America’s Cameo In Spider-Man: Homecoming

Before the trailer’s launch on Tuesday, Sony screened the trailer a bit earlier on Monday evening, during its presentation at the Las Vegas convention for theater owners. Fans at Cinema Con got a sneak-peek of the video, and according to ComicBook.com, Captain America makes a brief appearance in the trailer.

In the video, audiences see Peter Parker as he adjusts to life in New York after a trip in Germany with Iron Man. Parker is shown in class watching a video with other students, when the video shows Captain America in his red-and-blue Avengers costume. Parker is shown watching the screen with a bored expression. Of course, after seeing the real superhero in person, it must be a bit dull watching them on a flat screen.

It’s not apparent whether Evans was asked to film a new scene for the Spider-Man, but if he’d been asked to help, it wouldn’t be the first time. Evans lent a hand and made a cameo in Thor: The Dark World as well.

This second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise will show a young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he navigates his new identity as Spider-Man. Enthralled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), all while being under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Parker is determined to prove himself to be more than an average neighborhood Spider-Man, but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) appears as the new villain, he threatens everything Parker holds dear.

The cast on the Marvel Comics film includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.

Directed by Jon Watts, the highly-anticipated superhero film is set for release on July 7, 2017.
