Netflix Gives Unspecific Release Date For ‘Punisher’ Series

Netflix has released a new trailer for its upcoming Marvel series Punisher.

The trailer is fairly similar to the last one that came out, but this one gives a hint as to the release date of the series. At the end, a date appears on screen, but the month and day are scrambled and continuously change. The only solid information is that the series will premiere sometime in 2017.

Looking solely at other Marvel projects coming out this year, it makes it unlikely that Punisher will air any time too soon. Marvel’s Defenders just aired on Netflix this past week, and Inhumans is coming to theaters next week. In addition, Netflix has already announced that Narcos and Fuller House will return in September, while Mindhunter and Stranger Things will be out in October. November is lighter in premieres, but also marks the release of Marvel’s Runaways on Hulu on Nov. 21.

At the very least, fans can find solace in the fact that there are only four more months left in 2017, so overall it won’t be too long of a wait. Check out the newest trailer below.
