Sam Worthington, 36, was arrested on Saturday night in Atlanta and charged with disorderly contact. Worthington, star of Avatar, got in a fight with the doorman at an Atlanta restaurant, the Vortex Bar & Grill, after he was denied access for appearing to be too intoxicated.

Worthington used profanity and shoved the doorman, Jerry Link, twice, and which point Link pepper-sprayed Worthington, according to a police report. The charges were dropped on Monday, however, when Link did not appear in court.

Worthington is in Atlanta filming Ten, which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Worthington as DEA agents. Link, who did not recognize the actor and stated that he was not told about the court date, said Worthington actually identified himself as a DEA agent after being pepper-sprayed, yelling, “I'm a DEA agent! You f**ked up now!” TMZ reports.

For his part, Worthington would be best to lay low for a little while and stick to the identity that fans know and love him by; his turn as Jake Sully in Avatar garnered him considerable buzz from fans and awards outlets such as the Saturn Awards, Empire Awards, MTV Awards and Teen Choice Awards.
