Miley Cyrus has announced that her sixth studio album Younger Now will be released on Sept. 29.

MILEY CYRUS ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM

The singer made the announcement on her website, along with a picture of the album title written on the back of a black leather jacket. Recent singles “Malibu” and “Inspired” will appear on the new album, and the overall tone will be positive, folk-infused sounds. Her last album was 2013’s Bangerz, which was hip-hop inspired.

“I’m giving the world a hug and saying, ‘Hey, look. We’re good – I love you,’ and I hope you can say you love me back,” the 24-year-old said.

Cyrus has said the inspiration behind her new sound and her new “good girl” persona is her love with fiancé Liam Hemsworth. Reports came out recently that the pair were married, but they denied the rumors, saying Hemsworth was wearing a promise ring, not a wedding ring. Tish Cyrus spoke out to this point. “She is not getting married,” she said in a radio interview. “They are so freaking happy and living in Malibu. She’s so happy, and she’s always like, ‘I don’t know why everybody wants us to get married. It’s so perfect.’ She’s 24. She’s got time.”

She also recently gave up smoking marijuana, and is happy to have her head so clear when making music.

Cyrus will reportedly perform at the 2017 MTV Music Awards on Aug. 27. Other performers will include Fifth Harmony and Lorde.
