In a scoop that we promise isn’t a fever dream, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are releasing one of the weirdest product collaborations to date. The boxing legends and former rivals are referencing a famous incident during a 1997 heavyweight title fight when Tyson bit off a chunk of Holyfield’s ear with this new line of cannabis gummies.
Tyson has already been in the cannabis space with a line of “Mike Bites” gummies that have been selling well, and now they’ll be expanding to these “Holy Ears” products which will be like you may expect, a gummy ear with a bite mark in it. He has recently advocated for the benefits of it, and cracked to HuffPost “If I was on cannabis, I wouldn’t have bit [his] ear!”

As wild as the moment was, Holyfield apparently forgave Tyson immediately in the aftermath of the incident in the locker room, and they later shook hands on Oprah after Tyson delivered a longer apology. They have even done prior collaborations referring to the moment in good fun, like this Foot Locker ad.
Tyson has been influencing other celebrities to get in on the pot business. He also worked with Ric Flair to create an extensive cannabis line of different products, and Holyfield will also have his own strains hitting shelves in 2023.
Holyfield is no pot connoisseur and even told Huffpost that trying one of the Holy Ears gummies was his first-ever time trying it out. He seemed to love the sleep benefits of it, saying “I ate it and laid down. I woke up the next morning and was like, ‘Woah.’
They are working with Carma Holdings which will be launching the Holy Ears gummies sometime this month. Tyson has been working on most of these cannabis ventures with Chad Bronstein, an entrepreneur who founded the cannabis marketing software company Fyllo and has several other businesses in pot and psychedelics.
If you are interested in supporting Tyson or Holyfield but aren’t one for getting high, they also have gummies with the less-psychoactive Delta 8 THC variant and “other hemp cannabinoid varieties,” per their press release.
“It’s a privilege to reunite with my former opponent and now long-time friend, and turn years of fights and knockouts into a partnership that can make a positive impact and heal people,” Tyson said in a statement.
